woman experiencing freedom to travel after being a fearful flyer

Anxious Flyers Workshop

An educational workshop + in-person experience at MSP Airport

You used to fly all the time. But now the thought of flying in an airplane makes you sick to your stomach. You know flying is the safest form of travel, but still can’t talk yourself into getting on the plane. Whether you haven’t flown in years or you fly occasionally, the experience is filled with dread, tension, and panic.

But the thing is….you WANT to fly.

As time goes on, you notice you’re missing out on opportunities to spend time with people you love and make memories seeing new places. You see friends and family posting pictures of their vacations and wish you could be there too. You’re sick of backing out of invitations to visit your loved ones out of state.

Maybe you still go on vacation but the amount of time and money it’s costing you to drive (instead of fly) is costing you extra days in the car rather than at your destination.

You see that your fears are irrational. You have tried to wipe away your fears by deep breathing, medications, or having a pre-flight drink.

But you want to learn how to get over the fear, not just put a band-aid on it.

We get it, and we can help.

In this workshop, we will work together to help you understand your fear + give you practical strategies for handling flying anxiety so you can take that flight with confidence (minus the Xanax).

How We Can Help

  • In this one day workshop, you will get to experience a full day of education plus time navigating the MSP International Airport.

Learn about aerodynamics and flight safety. Examine your fears about flying. Learn about how to get unstuck from your fear. Learn and practice effective skills for anxiety relief.

As a group, we will meet at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport to practice moving through security, navigating the airport, and boarding a plane. You will get an opportunity to ask questions to a former Aviator.

After the workshop, stick around to explore our one-of-a-kind airport without the stress of having to catch a flight.

The MSP Airport has been rated as one of the best in the country for food options. So take advantage of this rare opportunity to eat at locally based restaurants or explore the shopping

Testimonials

“I was really impressed with both of you and I am so incredibly thankful to have had this opportunity. You are really on to something! This is what I had been praying for, an opportunity to get back into it without having the fear of a long flight. It was my next baby step to getting to where I want to be. Even if I did this exact same thing again, for me it would be good because the experience at the airport is just as stressful as the plane. Being in the airport and normalizing is helpful too. Thank you for doing this! I feel like I am ready to do a practice flight to a nearby destination.”
