Online Therapy is easy to use, convenient, and effective.
Over the years I have worked with kids, teens, and adults who have difficulty getting into the office for appointments. With busy schedules of families today, there has been a need for more options to make therapy accessible.
When telehealth came out, I was nervous that using video would become a barrier for connecting with my client’s in the same way as I would in the office. But as I started to work with more clients in this way, this proved to be totally inaccurate. My client’s started to share with me about all the ways they were benefiting from using telehealth---and found it even MORE helpful to them then coming into the office.
Some of my client’s have enjoyed using telehealth because they save time by not having to drive into the office for an appointment. Other times, online therapy has been preferred because their anxiety has made it hard to leave the house or be in public. And lets not forget, Minnesota winters can be brutal. Have an appointment scheduled during a snowstorm? No worries. You can still get the support you need without having to travel during times when the roads are unsafe.
Perhaps you live in an area where you don’t have access to high-quality providers. Online therapy allows me to work with individuals anywhere within the state of Minnesota. So even if you are not near the Twin Cities metro area, I can still help.
Meeting with me for online therapy is similar to Skype or FaceTime---but it’s done through a secure platform. You can meet with me from any private location---whether that is at home, school, or work.
Maybe technology scares you. I can assure you that it’s quite simple. There is no software to download or complicated sign-up process. I will send you a link to the video, you click “join meeting” and you are good to go. You just need a private location and good internet connection. If you are still uneasy about it, you can schedule a free 15 minute video consultation with me to try it out.
