Therapy for Anxiety

Playing tug-o-war with anxiety? We got you.

Anxiety, stress, and worry can impact your life at any age.

Whether you are a child, teen, or adult, you might be feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to go from here.

Just for a moment, you wish you could relax, but you can’t seem to do it no matter how hard you try. The stress and worried thoughts just keep coming back. People around you tell you to “just relax” or “there’s nothing to worry about.” If it were only that simple. You don’t choose to feel this way.

It’s normal to feel anxiety at times. In fact, anxiety is something we are all born with! Anxiety is meant to protect you. When you have anxiety, it signals your body to make changes in order to help you fight, run, or freeze from danger. These changes are what can cause you to have a racing heart, sweaty palms, upset stomach, or muscle tension.

When you have these physical feelings, it can be scary and uncomfortable. It can cause you to worry and question what is wrong with you. You may even avoiding going to work, school, or social events because the anxiety is too much.

Anxiety doesn’t deserve to have power over your life

What would it feel like to have your old life back? One where you feel like you are not just “going through the motions”  but actually thriving. A life where you feel confident to handle whatever life throws at you. I can help.

I get that you haven’t felt this way in awhile….and it might not even feel possible. But it happens for my clients all the time.

With the help of an anxiety therapist, the treatment for anxiety is simple. But it’s not easy. If you are willing to make the necessary changes and implement strategies that are proven to work, then you will be able to have the life you deserve.

Working with Justin

Efficient

Nobody wants to be in therapy forever. You want to see progress, and fast. That’s why when you work with me, we will identify specific goals and get to work. My clients tells me I am warm, supportive, and yet practical. My priority is to give you the tools you need to crush anxiety. I use evidenced-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). This means they are proven to help in a short amount of time. Although it’s hard to say for sure how long you will need to be in therapy, on average, 12-15 sessions is most effective.

Quality

You don’t want a therapist who is seeing so many clients they can’t remember the important details about your life. You also don’t want a therapist who doesn’t practice what they preach. If I’m stressed out and burnt out, then you won’t be getting the care you deserve. I keep a small caseload to ensure I am able to be fully present and effective for you.

Convenience

You are busy. When you want to make an appointment, you don’t want to wait on hold or play phone tag. When working with me, you will be able to add or change appointments anytime through online scheduling.

When you make the decision to work with a counselor, you don’t want to waste time wondering if they can help you. Before you make any commitments, you can schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation with me to decide if we are a good fit together. If not, I will help connect you with a therapist who would be a better fit for you.
