Guidance and support at any step in the process

Is recovery really necessary?

Am I bad person?

I just want to drink alcohol like a normal person—why can’t I?

What does it mean to be addicted?

Do I have to stop using forever?

If you have ever asked yourself these questions, then you are not alone. Whether you have already completed treatment or have just realized you need help with your substance use, we can help. I understand that most people with substance use problems are uncertain if they want to change. That is normal. You don’t have to arrive with a burning desire to change all of your behaviors.

I can help you develop an understanding about substance use problems and what steps you can take to address the issues. There are many different approaches to addressing alcohol and drug problems. I use evidenced-based methods including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I strongly encourage being involved in a support group meeting, but that does mean it has to be AA.
